Our Financial Story...
Acton Academy Kennebunkport was never intended for personal gains, the goal was to create a school that would offer a different educational option for young people in our community. The owners have never taken a salary and have personally been supporting the school financially for the past three years. It was not originally set up as a non-profit simply to avoid extra paperwork and allow the owners to concentrate on what mattered most, which was the learners and creating the best environment for them.
We feel drawn to making our school a non-profit because we have an incredibly supportive community and are surrounded by people who want to help; be that financially, by sharing their expertise, connecting to the local community, and so much more. We feel this will open up opportunities for our learners to experience more and for those in our community to share. We are blessed by incredible people around us who have a lifetime of wisdom that we can all learn from.
Non-Profit Status
Acton Academy Kennebunkport is currently working to attain non-profit, 501(c)3, status; however, it is NOT currently a 501(c)3 so donations at this point cannot be claimed as a tax write-off. We hope to attain this status by the end of 2024. Click here if you would like to be notified once we are approved.

Our Core Beliefs...
We believe young people are capable of far more than the world allows and our goal is to empower them.
Acton Academy Kennebunkport is a school for motivated learners who want to be in an environment that allows them to DO, challenges them to THINK, encourages CIVIL DISAGREEMENT, holds them ACCOUNTABLE, allows them to FAIL so they can GROW, and believes that CHARACTER, KINDNESS, and RESPECT matter more than anything else.
