Opening in 2020!
We believe in reading
good books!
Regardless of age, reading aloud to your children is wonderful for so many reasons. One that resonates with me, is how it fosters communication and open dialog. It's easy to talk about characters in a book and that opens the door for communicating our own feelings (funny, silly, exciting, these feelings don't always have to be 'deep'). As our children grow we always want them to feel free to communicate with us, which is easier if they have had practice along the way. Your kids want to see you react, they want to see you enjoy the funny parts of a book. Enjoy reading with them!
GOOD BOOKS
Read Aloud Tips
If your kids aren't into a book...put it down and pick something else; reading should be enjoyable!
If you are having a hard time reading the language...get the audio version!
It's ok for them to play quietly while you read (paint, draw, use clay/playdough, build with legos, etc.).
When reading classics, get the unabridged versions if possible.
