Our question of the year: WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE PART OF A COMMUNITY, NATION, AND GLOBE?

Think About Our Place in the World

It’s important to think about our place in the world. So far this year our learners have determined that it means: helping out, caring for the things around us (in today’s case sea life), doing our part, and being a good person (when you find money on the ground calling the police to see if anyone has lost it).

TAP Trash Talk

Today we put this in action and helped cleaned up one of our local beaches. We partnered with TAP Trash Talk to learn more about the process and why it is so important.

On what I would consider a clean beach we found a bunch of stuff…take out containers, ear buds, rope, cigarette butts (did you know they are made of plastic?), a dirty diaper, shoes, shirt, rusty pipes, lobster trap that had to be dug out, milk jug, and the list goes on!
